Felicity paints all sorts of subjects but fairies and whimsical, fantasy paintings are amongst her favorites. She paints them just for fun. Fortunately other people think they're fun too.
Sometimes the fairies and fantasy subjects are pure and innocent and painted in soft dreamy colors.
And then sometimes the fairies are a bit hotter and sexier and hint at very interesting private lives.
Felicity finds painting fairies very rewarding and relaxing. They're a change from the subjects she usually paints during her day job of teaching how to paint classes and workshops all around Melbourne and sometimes in Sydney. She also has trompe l'oeil mural commissions and so listening to a fairy describe how they want their portrait painted can be a real change of pace.
She works primarily in acrylics but won't be surprised the day a fairy whispers in her ear that it's time to change over to watercolor for a while.
