Katy Jones was born in Bristol in 1977. She now lives within easy reach of the Curry Mile in Rusholme, Manchester, where she works as an artist and writer.
About her work, Katy says:
“Much of my artistic inspiration is drawn from literary sources, such as Shakespeare, the Bible and various legends and mythologies. I am also inspired by the stylised but organic forms found in gothic architecture and celtic design, which like my own work use physical forms to express the spiritual. I usually describe myself as a fantasy artist, but I see fantasy more as a way of commenting on reality than escaping from it.”
