Home Sweet Home
A Little Book of Fairy Dwellings

This is a smaller format, hardcover book, measuring 17 x 18 cms (6½ x 7 inches) and is the latest release in the Flower Fairies Friends™ Series, the publication date is July 2005, so it should be available from now.

It is similiar to others in the series, having a thick card cover with a cut out hole which you can see a fairy through .

The legend on the back reads: Here's your chance to peek inside the homes of the Flower Fairies. Find out who designs fairy furniture, explore the fairies houses, and discover how to decorate every room - Flower Fairy style!

Which is quite a claim! There are 28 pages in all, of which 10 are either end-pages or title pages, which leaves 18 pages of actual content ...

... the fairy illustrations are the exact same fairies as the classic series by Cicely Mary Barker, only that they have been put in diferent backgrounds, to me this makes them look like cut out shapes - however they are beautiful pictures.

The text is laid out as brief introductory paragraphs or as descriptions to the ilustrations, such as: In summer a big leaf is an ideal parasol when the sun gets too hot.

I found the book very simplistic and not that imaginatively written and think you can buy much better books in the series, this would only be for a fanatical flower fairies fan! The pubished price is £ 4.99
